We want to express our gratitude and celebrate November together!

Welcome Back to the Evergreen Newsletter!

In this newsletter, we want to express our gratitude and celebrate the month of November with you. We're also excited to share some important updates, including our latest expansion and its impact on our community. Let's jump into a list of things Evergreen Grease Service is grateful for this season:

Grateful for Community
Big news…we have a new location!

Our expansion is a significant milestone in our journey towards scaling up, enhancing our capabilities, and setting new industry standards. We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Third Coast Commodities and our family of companies as we centralize our operations. This expansion brings us one step closer to realizing our vision of creating a "circular economy" for Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG), transforming what was once considered waste into a valuable energy resource. It reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainability and responsible resource management!

"This facility will partner with our current processing facility in Adrian, MI, significantly increasing our FOG processing capabilities and expanding our service footprint to serve more customers in the Midwest. We're excited about the possibilities."

Matthew Rosen, CMO

Over the next few years, we plan to create more than 50 job opportunities for new employees in this facility. From operational roles to logistics coordinators, our expansion will offer diverse job prospects to the community.

Grateful to Connect

ULBGC Gala

On November 4th, 2023, in the heart of the city, our dedicated team came together to make a meaningful contribution to a great cause—the ULBGC Annual Gala. While this event may have appeared glamorous and exciting, our team understood the deeper significance of giving back to the community. They arrived early, ready to roll up their sleeves and volunteer their time and efforts in various capacities, including registration, greetings, and live auction support, all in the name of raising funds for the youth of Chicago.

Grateful for Safety and Service!

As we approach the holiday season, we understand it's a bustling time for restaurants, hotels, and commercial kitchens. Keeping your facilities in top shape ensures smooth operations during this busy period. Evergreen Grease Service supports you with valuable FOG (Fats, Oils, and Grease) tips and debunking FOG myths to keep your business running seamlessly through fall and winter.

Grateful for Safety and Service

FOG Tips:

  1. Proper Grease Disposal: Ensure that fats, oils, and grease (FOG) are disposed of correctly, using designated containers. Never pour them down the sink or toilet, as this can lead to costly blockages in your plumbing.

  2. Regular Maintenance: Schedule routine maintenance for your kitchen equipment, such as grease traps and interceptors. This prevents clogs and backups that can disrupt your kitchen operations.

  3. Employee Training: Train your staff on the importance of FOG management. Make sure they understand the proper procedures for handling and disposing of FOG.

  4. Educational Resources: Explore our informative videos and resources on The FOG Network to better understand FOG management and its impact on your facility.

FOG Myth-Busters:

  1. Myth: Hot water can prevent FOG from solidifying in pipes.
Fact: While hot water can temporarily help grease flow, it can still solidify downstream in cooler pipes. Proper disposal is the key.

  2. Myth: Grease traps eliminate the need for maintenance.
Fact: Grease traps require regular cleaning and maintenance to remain effective. Neglecting maintenance can lead to blockages and costly repairs.

  3. Myth: Small amounts of FOG down the drain are harmless.
Fact: Even small amounts of FOG can accumulate over time, leading to clogs and sewage backups. Proper disposal is essential.
